The idea behind the Annabelle Archer wedding planner mysteries and the first book in the series, BETTER OFF WED, was born from the overwhelming desire to murder a particularly unpleasant Mother-of-the-Bride (or MOB). Once Laura realized that killing her would be bad for business, she decided to do away with her on paper. \n\nBETTER OFF WED won the Agatha Award for Best First Novel and two other books in the series, FOR BETTER OR HEARSE and TO LOVE AND TO PERISH, followed. After taking a hiatus from publishing to have two children and plan five hundred or so weddings, Laura returned to mystery world in 2017 with a new Annabelle Archer novella, DEAD RINGER. The fourth novel in the Annabelle series, REVIEW TO A KILL, will be released in August 2017.
